1 / 3UV Pool & Aquaculture Series
UV disinfection for swimming pools and aquaculture — reduces chlorine 80%, eliminates chloramines
UV Pool & Aquaculture Series by Ozone India Technology, Greater Noida. Medium-pressure UV for swimming pool chloramine destruction and aquaculture pathogen control. 80% chlorine reduction. CE certified.
CE & ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer · Est. 2014 · 150,000+ installations · Greater Noida, India
Medium-pressure UV systems for swimming pools, water parks, and fish farms. Medium-pressure lamps emit broad-spectrum UV including 220–300nm range that destroys chloramines (combined chlorine) responsible for eye/skin irritation and odour. Reduces free chlorine demand by up to 80%. For aquaculture, eliminates pathogens including Aeromonas, Ich, and viral haemorrhagic disease without chemical residue in fish flesh.

Frequently Asked Questions
Low-pressure mercury UV lamps are rated for 9,000–12,000 operating hours (approximately 1–1.5 years at continuous operation). UV output degrades by 10–15% per year — replace when the UV intensity monitor reads below 70% of the initial calibrated value, or at least every 18 months regardless of intensity reading.
BIS IS 10500:2012 requires E. coli to be not detectable in 100 mL of treated water. A UV dose of ≥25 mJ/cm² reliably achieves this. Ozone India Technology UV systems are designed to deliver ≥40 mJ/cm² at end-of-lamp-life, providing a safety margin for variable water quality conditions.
No. UV disinfection is a purely physical pathogen inactivation process — it does not remove any dissolved or suspended contaminants. Water must be pre-treated to <1 NTU turbidity before UV treatment. For complete water purification including TDS, hardness, and chemical removal, combine UV with RO and/or ozone treatment.
UV systems are sized for specific UVT values. Ozone India Technology systems are standard-rated at ≥85% UVT (typical drinking water after filtration). For low-UVT water (coloured groundwater, post-secondary treated sewage at 60–70% UVT), the system is sized with additional lamp power to compensate. Provide your water's UVT% when requesting a quotation.
Yes. All UV water treatment systems carry CE marking under EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 QMS. CE documentation supports export to EU, GCC, and other markets requiring CE certification for imported water treatment equipment.
