Frequently Asked Questions
Ozone India Technology test chambers produce ozone concentrations from 10 pphm (parts per hundred million) to 200 pphm (0.1 to 2 ppm), covering the full range required by BIS IS 3400 Part 20, ISO 1431-1, ASTM D1149, and IEC 60811-403 rubber and cable ozone ageing test standards.
The ozone test chamber is designed and manufactured to comply with ISO 1431-1 (rubber ozone cracking resistance), ISO 1431-2 (dynamic ozone cracking), BIS IS 3400 Part 20 (Indian rubber testing standard), ASTM D1149 (USA), IEC 60811-403 (cable insulation ageing), and DIN 53509 (German rubber testing).
Standard 100L chambers accommodate specimens up to 300 mm × 100 mm. The 250L chamber handles specimens up to 500 mm × 150 mm and multiple specimen sets simultaneously. Custom chambers up to 1000L are available for large rubber mouldings or high-throughput testing requirements.
The chamber controls temperature to ±1°C in the range 20–60°C and relative humidity to ±3% RH in the range 40–80% RH. Both parameters are PID-controlled and data-logged. IS 3400 requires 40°C ±1°C for standard ozone ageing tests.
Yes. Every test chamber is supplied with ozone concentration calibration certificate (traceable to national standards), temperature calibration certificate, and humidity calibration certificate. Calibration documentation is formatted to support NABL-aligned in-house testing laboratory requirements and ISO 17025 audits.
