Ozone air purifiers should not be operated in rooms with people, animals, or plants present at concentrations above 0.05 ppm (WHO recommendation). Ozone India Technology air purifiers are designed for use in unoccupied spaces for odour elimination and disinfection, or at low doses (below 0.05 ppm) in ventilated spaces. The unit automatically shuts off when the room is reoccupied.
Ozone eliminates a wide range of odour-causing compounds including hydrogen sulphide (sewage smell), ammonia (animal and urine odour), VOCs (paint, solvent, cigarette smoke), mercaptans (garbage, industrial), and microbial off-gases (mould, mildew). It is effective for hotel rooms, cold storage, food processing areas, and industrial plant rooms.
Ozone in air has a half-life of 20–40 minutes at 25°C depending on humidity, temperature, and surface contact. After the ozone generator is switched off, ozone in a treated room will fall to below 0.05 ppm within 1–2 hours. The room can be safely reoccupied once ozone levels fall below the recommended exposure limit.
